In this course you will obtain the knowledge to install the Drill & Drop probe in a fast and correct manner.
This will assist you with the choice of the right tools and procedures for different soil types and cropping systems, saving you time and ensuring a good installation quality of the probe.
At the end of this course, you will be able to:
- Understand the reason for the Drill & Drop probe design
- Prepare the right installation tools
- Be familiar with all safety requirements
- Learn how to install the Drill & Drop probe correctly and safely in different soil types
- Learn how to extract the probe correctly from the soil
This course does NOT include:
- Site selection for the probes (a separate course will cover this)
- Connection of the Drill & Drop probe to a logger or telemetry device
- Interpretation of the data collected by the Drill & Drop probe
